New Video: End Of The Decade Blowout!

Howdy!

It’s the end of the first decade of the third millennium and Better Than The Machine is helping see the decade out in style with its “End Of The Decade Blowout!” Everything from Y2K to Tiger Woods has GOT TO GO!

Directed and edited by Reid Levin (that’s me!). Production assisted by Laure Glass Levin.

Have a Happy New Year and make sure to check http://bttm.net next decade for a brand new video!

New Video… Tuesday?

Hey everybody, Reid here. With everyone away for the holidays, this week’s video did not quite meet our usual prompt deadline. We were so close to having an unbroken weekly schedule, too! Nuts. Anyway, the last video of the year will be released on Tuesday, and you can take that to the bank! You can even hold your breath if you’d like.

–Reid.

While you may “take that to the bank,” its cash value is 1/27th of a cent. Better Than The Machine, Ltd. and its affiliated subsidiaries bear no responsibility for injuries sustained from holding your breath until the next video is released.

Festive Tidings and Life Lessons from BTTM!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa and, of course, another chance to post our holiday video! Make sure to check below the video after you watch it: we added some helpful advice for this time of year.

You may just think this is a simple repost of last week’s video. All we have to say about that is… Ho Ho Ho!

We hope you take an important lesson from this video: some friends or family members will give you crappy gifts. When they do, you should accept them with humility and grace. That way, you can plan all year for a terrible gift to give your friend or family member next year, and they’ll never see it coming.

Happy Ho Ho Holidays from Better Than The Machine! Don’t let fruitcake get you down,

–Reid.

Facebook Fan Page Update

Howdy!

First off, no longer do you have to type http://www.facebook.com/we89rf-gobbly-gook-477-better-than-the-machine-39u9-random-letters-and-numbers-matt-gallo-rules to reach our Facebook fan page! Now you can find us at the much simpler and easy to remember facebook.com/BetterThanTheMachine.

Second, we are working diligently to make it even easier for you to reach our Facebook fan page, but the technology to read the brain patterns of our fans just isn’t safe enough to use on fans yet. We set Carlos on fire three times last week while trying to get thought-based navigation to our Facebook fan page to work, and you can rest assured that we’ll keep lighting Carlos on fire until we find a way for you to get to our Facebook fan page simply by thinking “I love Better Than The Machine,” whether or not lighting Carlos on fire and thought-based web surfing are related or not.

Finally, we’d just like to remind you what it means to be a Facebook fan of Better Than The Machine: you get weekly updates about our latest videos and shows in your Facebook inbox, you can post your own wacky videos for other BTTM fans to see (they don’t even need to be wacky!), you can talk to other fans, you can fight other fans, you will receive our monthly magazine Better Than Time Magazine: The Official Better Than The Machine Fanzine* and soon you’ll be able to win actual prizes! Maybe even Official Better Than The Machine Fan Club decoder rings (not likely)! Or cards with your name and member id number on them (more likely)!

So what are you even waiting for? Sign up today and start doing all that stuff I just listed.

–Reid.

*Better Than Time Magazine is on a temporary publishing hiatus pending the outcome of a totally unrelated libel lawsuit with Time Warner, and also unrelated, upon finding the editor of our magazine, who was last seen in Costa Rica carrying two large sacks with dollar symbols on them.

New Video: “Who’s On First” For English Majors!

Ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourselves for a grammar revolution! This revolution will not be won with guns and aero-planes, but with a spin on a classic routine. English Majors, Word Nerds and Grammar Nazis: this one’s for you.

This video was directed and edited by Ballard C. Boyd.

Make sure to check http://bttm.net next week for our last video of the decade! It’s got a message… or something.

Hanukkah: literally “The Festival of Eight Sub Par Gifts” in English. But is that really all it is? Check out our latest video “Hanukkah Gifts” and decide for yourself!

Festively directed and edited by Ballard C. Boyd. Special thanks to Cindy Reiman!

Happy Holidays to Jews and non-Jews alike from Better Than The Machine! Remember to check bttm.net next Monday for a brand new video!

New Video: Super K with Birth Control

Howdy! As soon as we got home from the Philly Sketchfest, we decided that it was time for Better Than The Machine’s latest controversy, video, and controversial video! Read on!

Keloqq’s newest cereal for women has that same great taste you’ve come to expect, plus a hardy dose of birth control!

A copyright infringement free version of our “Kellogg’s Special K with Birth Control” parody video that we had to take down last April due to a complaint from The Kellogg Company. Our parody was too good and too realistic, and the The Kellogg Company had to turn away too many people asking for the cereal with birth control.

Re-directed and re-edited in a totally copyright free way by Ballard C. Boyd.

Check back here next week for a brand new video! If ever there was a case in which it would be appropriate to say this, this is it: don’t let the machine get you down.

This is the second of two shows we’ll be performing on Saturday, December 5 at the Philly Sketchfest. Although this is the shorter of our two shows, remember that it’s not the length of the show that matters, it’s how we use it. We’ll be performing different material in both shows, but we’re not gonna tell you what’s in which, so yer just gonna hafta see both and find out for yourself!

Sorry–we don’t mean to be mean–we just haven’t figured it out yet.

Join us in Philadelphia for a kick-ass good time at the Philadelphia Sketch Comedy Festival! It runs from December 3-5, and there are going to be a lot of great groups performing! Checkout the Philly Sketchfest homepage for information on tickets, performers and everything else.
